About Dr. Kish

Dr. Tracy Kish graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College here in Toronto in 2004. Her undergraduate degree is in Nursing from McMaster University and she has over 8 years of experience as a nurse in the operating room specializing in orthopedics and trauma.

Dr. Kish treats sports injuries, post surgical patients and women during pregnancy and following birth. She also is interested in vestibular rehabilitation and treating dizziness related to inner ear disorders. Dr. Kish regularly speaks to a number of groups on topics such as injury prevention in sports and bicycle fitting, and has recently been quoted in NOW Magazine.

Dr. Kish is an active individual being involved in recreational and competitive sports for many years. She is also the proud mother of two.

Do you want to try a century in 2010?

Dr. Tracy Kish, Chiropractor and cyclist is back again this year to talk to the Toronto Bicycling Network about how to train for longer rides. Her previous talks on bike set up have been very popular in the past. This year she will include a bit on bike set up to avoid injury and will also discuss training schedules, nutrition, avoiding sports injuries and sports psychology to help you move up to a longer ride whether you want to try a multi-day ride, a century or just ride a bit further this year.

About Dr. Martin

Dr. Martin is happy to have joined up with Westwood Health. Since 2002, Dr. Martin practiced out of Eastside Chiropractic, and owned the clinic from 2004-2009.

Dr. Martin received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario in 2002. Clinical internships were spent at St. John's Rehabilitation Hospital and the H.K. Lee Chiropractic Clinic at CMCC, both in Toronto. Dr. Martin is a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. Dr. Martin completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Health and Psychology from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, in 1993.

Dr. Martin is committed to a full range of Continuing Education and hands-on courses. Subsequently, Dr. Martin uses a variety of techniques (diversified/manual, instrument assisted, soft tissue therapy, Neuroemotional Technique NET, and Webster's Technique for in-utero constraint), and procedures (orthotic casting, nutritional assessment, Back Informed ® back school education) to help her patients obtain their individual health goals.

Dr. Martin maintains a deep respect for each individual and his or her reported symptoms, the interplay between mind and body, and the importance of healthy structure for healthy function. In addition, Dr. Martin values the options that exist from other health care professionals and providers, and works for the increased wellbeing of her patients, referring patients to other providers when necessary or advantageous for her patients' optimal health.

Dr. Martin's personal interests have included meditation, weight training, Pilates, paddling, hiking, downhill skiing, scuba diving, and traveling. Currently, Dr. Martin focuses much of her personal time towards her husband Tom, and their son Gregory. Dr. Martin values the connections of family and friendships, and her favourite places are the cottage that her parents maintain, and the one that her great-grandparents built, which is still an extended family gathering place today.
