Here’s what you need to know to get started!
What are Video Appointments?
Video appointments allow you to connect with your chiropractor or physiotherapist for education and reassurance about your existing condition, just like you would in the clinic (just no hands-on assessment or hands-on care -- I know, we miss that too). We can provide you with:
stretches and exercise
muscle activation and movement awareness
self-mobilizing of sore or stiff joints
advice for stress management
sleep hygiene strategies
breathing techniques
active listening about your concerns
Following up with your chiropractor or physiotherapist can help ensure you are doing your home exercises properly. They can answer any questions you have, and progress you to more challenging exercises to help you feel better.
What if I am a New Patient or have a New Injury?
This service is currently available to Ontario residents who require consultation with respect to acute pain - in order to determine need for emergency care or for those who need help preventing their injury from escalating during this time.
To access this service you will need to consent to supply your chiropractor or physiotherapist with personal health information and to pay any applicable fees for this Telehealth service.
Your initial assessment/examination will be modified appropriately to be completed by telecommunication. We will provide you with a clinical impression and make plan of care recommendations. Just like our follow-up video appointments, these services may include recommending and monitoring of appropriate exercises, recommending appropriate devices or supports, advice on ergonomics, hot/cold therapies, lifestyle and home care.
